...your username on here that is?

Saw a thread like this on another forum I sometimes visit and thought it was quite interesting. How did you all come up with your username? Does it have any 'meaning' behind it, is it just a random combination of letters and numbers, etc.??

Okay, I'll start: "Alee" is a nickname I was given when I lived in the USA as a guest student, it's a combination of my first and middle name. It's become my online-name since then and I use it on most forums/websites I visit. :)

Great idea alee, I'm always interested to hear how people came up with their username's! I didn't realise that about your username, I thought it was your actual real name lol!

My username used to be Laura Gately, for obvious reasons lol, and I also used to sometimes be known as steo_bz, again for obvious reasons lol. But sometime in 2003, I decided that I fancied a bit of a change. I wanted to keep the Laura but still have something else there as well, although I couldn't think what. Anyway, inspiration soon came to me in the form of a certain Mr Gately. It was when he was doing Joseph in London and I was seeing him quite regularly. On one particular day I saw him, I had long hair, but by the time I next saw him a couple of days later, I'd had it cut really short. (there is a point to this story, I promise!!! ) He complimented me on it and said that it looked nice and really suited me and then he said "come here my lovely haircut girl" and pulled me towards him for a hug. Around the same time, I was also looking to create a new e-mail address, so I decided to use lovelyhaircutgirl for my e-mail, although felt it was a bit too long to be my username as well. Anyway, to cut a long story short lol, lovelyhaircutgirl was soon shortened to just "lovely" by Stephen and everyone else, and so my username of LovelyLaura was born!

Laura xx

well mine is different as I am a catholic and I believe in heaven and in angels too. So I shortened stephen's name to his nickname and thought what would sound nice with it. I had a dream one night, I could see him wearing a pair of angels wings. I believe we have angels sent to us to guide us to that happier place where we can be at peace.

Ooh interesting thread - it's not something I've ever thought about before!

Basically my username came about because I've had a couple of people tell me I bear a resemblance to Honey who used to be in Eastenders (not that I agree, I have to say ). The Mi comes from the fact that a lot of my friends shorten my name to Mimi or Mi. Simple addition and there we go - voila one username! :D

Love lots from Michelle xxx

There was a thing about white lilies being Stephen's favourite flowers years ago. I don't even know if that was still the case lately , I think I remember him saying something else in a more recent interview. But I did read it a few times back then and I've given him lilies a couple of times when I met him. :)

My best friend at that time who I used to see him with was a florist so the choice of flowers was always important to her. When I first told her about white lilies she was was shocked and said "But they're for funerals!!!!" And we just laughed. (You can imagine how many times I thought of that during the memorial).

So yeah, I've been using it as username in BZ places since then :)

Mine is pretty boring unfortunately, my surname is cobb and for some reason at school we went through a stage of always calling people by versions of our surnames and mine was cobbo which has basically stuck and I often use it for internet based user names

Oh, sorry about that, didn't mean to mislead anyone. ;) Plus, "Alee" is kinda like my real name, at least in the US. Pretty much all my American friends call me that, some teachers did too. When I came back to Germany, my sister tried to introduce it as my nickname here too, because she really liked the sound of it, but it didn't work...

I just googled "Honey Eastenders"... I say I wouldn't particularly mind being compared to her! :)
